I remember back in the 1950's when almost every kitchen had hand crocheted potholders in the form of veggies or dresses (or something) hanging on the walls or around the cabinets. They have very much gone out of style now in the U.S., but Tomomi tells me that they are very much in vogue in Japan right now. Along with hand made quilted purses, etc. I was really surprised to find this pattern online. I think this will be a "soon" project to do...
