Close Call...

I stepped to the screen door of the back porch with my camera to take a few pictures of the incessant rain and just as I clicked this shot of the shop roof.... ka boom...!!! lightening... right beside me! The hair on my arms stood up and the back of my neck tingled... ooowwweee... You talk about a quick retreat! lol It probably would have been funny to watch and I have to laugh now when I think about it, but it wasn't much fun at the time... That's the first time that has ever happened to me. I've never been that close to lightening before and don't think I want to repeat the experience...

I did some sewing yesterday for Hannah. Still have a few more things to make, but the little fabric book and bird that was finished yesterday turned out really cute... Have a look...

Just thinking of you and hoping you are coping okay with the loss of your sister. We lost my FIL in January to lung cancer. Then I lost my Dad quite unexpectedly in February. It's so tough to lose someone you dearly love. I've just been hoping you're doing well in spite of it all. And....I'm also quite happy to hear you weren't struck by lightning! I was raised in FL so I have an enormously healthy respect for lightning! :)

Thank you so much for your thoughts...they help much more than one would think. Things are going fairly well and the coping continues slowly. Some days are better than others....
